Oil Blends

Are you ever in need of a specific oil and don’t have it on hand? You can always use an oil blend that has the oil in it instead. This also gets you to try new oils and maybe find a new favorite! Looking for orange? Try Young Living’s Citrus Fresh instead. Are you looking for an oil to help the skin, but don’t have Frankincense on hand? Try Elemi, it may not be a blend, but it’s a great stand in! Looking for something spicy like cinnamon, try Thieves. Blends are great in so many ways, and sometimes you’ll find you like them better than just the single oils. My favorite at the moment is Gentle Baby.

Cloth diapers…Eek!

So, I’ve ventured into the cloth diapering world for my little oiler. Let me just say, I never thought I would say this…but I LOVE it! The only thing you have to worry about it using regular diaper cream, and that’s where the oils and Young Living products come into place. I tried not to use regular diaper cream before, but now I really can’t! So, kidscents tender tush really comes in handy. I can use it and not worry about it not washing out of the cloth diaper and causing pee to repel instead of soak into his diaper. Also, for bad diaper rash I use coconut oil with Young Living Melaleuca oil and Young Living Lavender oil. They help so much and have a great scent. Just make sure to dilute enough with coconut oil first!

Another thing I’m doing while we cloth diaper is use cloth wipes. This is so easy to do, and saves you money! I use a homemade wipe solution made out of…You guessed it, Young Living oils and baby wash! I use 2 cups boiled water ( cooled to warm), with a teaspoon of coconut oil, a teaspoon of Young Living Kidscents bath wash, about 3 drops of  Young Living Gentle Baby oil, 3 drops Young Living Melaleuca Oil (tea tree oil), and a drop of Young Living Lavender Oil. Mix all together and put into a glass spray bottle, then just spray on the bottom or on the wipes before using on baby. I love how this solution smells and how it feels on his skin, it is also great for his skin! You can try other oils, just make sure they are not “hot oils”, because that wouldn’t feel very well on baby bottom. Hope you enjoy cloth diapering as much as I do!
